At Blacksuit Consulting, our mission is to help clients make smarter, safer decisions by uncovering facts — online and offline. We specialize in cybersecurity services and private investigations that protect people, assets, and reputations.

Founded by a retired FBI Special Agent, the firm brings deep expertise in cybercrime, security architecture, digital evidence, and risk analysis. Our work supports businesses, law firms, government contractors, family offices, and private clients who need clear answers before they act.

Cybersecurity

Most small and mid-sized organizations don't need a security program. They need the handful of controls that actually stop the attacks aimed at them — configured correctly, verified, and documented.

We assess and harden the environments where the real exposure sits: Microsoft 365 tenants, user identity and access, endpoints, and email. Engagements typically cover conditional access and MFA enforcement, privileged account control, tenant configuration review, endpoint hardening, and incident readiness — including what to preserve and who to call when something goes wrong.

For defense contractors and their suppliers, we provide CMMC and GCC High preparedness: gap assessment against NIST 800-171, prioritized remediation, and documentation that will hold up under assessment.

Recommendations are prioritized by risk and effort, and separated into what needs attention now and what can reasonably wait.

Investigations

When the question is factual rather than technical, we develop the record.

We combine traditional investigative methods with advanced technology — including open-source intelligence (OSINT), dark web research, and applied cybersecurity skills — to identify hidden risks, trace digital activity, and verify critical facts.

Typical matters include executive and partner due diligence, pre-litigation fact development, witness location, asset tracing, counterparty verification, and background investigations. Whether you're hiring an executive, evaluating a merger, or preparing for litigation, we deliver reliable intelligence that lets you act with confidence.

Where a matter may enter litigation, work product is documented to survive production and cross-examination.

How we work

Every engagement begins with a scoping conversation. The purpose is to determine whether there is a real problem, whether this firm is the right one to take it, and what the work would involve. Some of those calls end with a recommendation and no engagement.

Work is then defined in writing before it begins: what will be examined, what will be produced, what it costs, and when it ends. Scope is fixed. If something material surfaces mid-engagement, it becomes a decision you make rather than an invoice you discover.

Discretion

Most of this work involves information our clients would not want discussed. Engagements are confidential by default. We do not use client identities as marketing, and work product is handled accordingly.
